Do I need to take the Fletcher Program Overview to enter the Comprehensive Program?

Ideally, yes. Our Program Overview provides the most efficient and affordable way to prepare to enter the Comprehensive Program.  Our Program Overview is taught by our Fletcher Facilitators and Faculty members and is designed to give students an experiential  overview of the program, from a student point of view. If you do not live near a Fletcher Facilitator or Faculty member, you may prepare to enter the Comprehensive Program through study with our Qualified Fletcher Teachers.

How long does it take to complete the Comprehensive Program?

Preparing to enter the program generally takes 3 - 6 months of student practice. The Comprehensive Program is designed to be completed in 12 to 15 months.

How much is the Program?

he Comprehensive Program is $9,000. This amount includes all Program Sessions, Program Manuals and examination/evaluation fees. The tuition does not include the student prerequisite process or optional studies throughout the course of the program.

  • Monthly Advisee Meetings
  • Mentoring throughout the Program

Additional Costs to Consider:

  • Prerequisite Private Sessions, Program Overview and Group Classes (cost varies)
  • Ongoing Private Sessions (optional - cost varies)
  • Monthly Studio Fee: covers independent studio usage as well as observation and assisting hours at your Fletcher Pilates® Studio. This cost varies from campus to campus.

How soon will I be able to teach?

Upon successful completion of the Comprehensive Program, graduates are granted the title of Qualified Fletcher Pilates® Teacher and are eligible to establish their own practice, work in a Pilates studio, or work in movement therapy setting such as a health club, resort / spa or integrative healthcare practice.

What is my time commitment during the Program?

As stated above, there are six 5-day sessions spread out over the course of a year. Between each of these sessions, students are required to complete observation, self-practice, assisting and Casework teaching hours, for a combined total of 10 hours each week throughout the program.

 

Pilates Continuing Education FAQ

How does the licensing process work for the Fletcher Intensive Licensing Course

There is a written test at the end of the Fletcher Pilates® Intensive Licensing Course.

In order to license the right to teach you must meet eligibility requirements by providing paper documentation of a current professional license license or certificate in one of the following fields:

  • Pilates Teacher
  • Fitness Professional
  • Physical Therapist

To maintain your annual Fletcher Pilates® license, you are required to take at least 3 private sessions and/or group classes. Each session/class should be documented and signed by your teacher in the event that Fletcher Pilates® requests documentation. The Fletcher license is renewed on the anniversary date of the initial course in which you were licensed. The annual license fee is $100.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

If you cannot attend an event for which you have registered, please forward a written, dated cancellation notice to the following address:

If written cancellation notice is received up to one month prior to event start date, a full refund of registration fees will be issued, less a $50 administration fee. Cancellation notices received less than one month prior to event start date are not eligible for a refund. Please all 2-4 weeks for your refund to be processed.

In the event that Fletcher Pilates, Inc. should have to cancel an event due to low enrollment or illness, all registered students will be given at least one month notice prior to event start date, and will be refunded in full within 30 days of event cancellation.

What should I bring to Fletcher Pilates® courses and workshops?

Please review our Fletcher Class protocol to determine what to wear. Manuals will be provided for each course and workshop. Fletcher Braided Towels may be purchased in advance at www.fletcherpilates.com.

Who are the Fletcher Intensive Licensing Course & continuing education courses designed for?

Our Licensing Course, continuing education courses and workshops are designed primarily for Pilates teachers and other movement therapy professionals. They also provide an excellent opportunity for Physical and Massage Therapists as well as Personal and Athletic Trainers.

Will I receive CEC's for these Courses?

You will receive PMA and ACE continuing education credits (CEC's) for most of our workshops and courses. In general, we offer 6 CEC's per day per course.
